Herne Hill House

A young couple came to us with a brief to “bring a touch of the countryside” to their four bedroom house in South London. With a love for antiques and bold, chintzy patterns, we emphasised the period features throughout and paired more traditional motifs with light, Spring colours.

London Herne Hill House project
We added character to this small room by simply painting the woodwork in a contrasting darker tone to the walls and tying it all together with this swagged Roman Blind with it's pop of ochre. Simple but effective.
A joyful space with a scheme built from sky blues and grass greens, with a background of woodland wallpaper, bringing a countryside motif to South London.
This striking Rose Arabescato marble creates a focal point for these neutral walls and brings depth and force to this calm bathroom. Alongside the antique mule chest we converted into a vanity table, this spacious bathroom feels almost more like another living space.
Fun stripes dominate the family bathroom, with a loose Roman Blind that brings in some needed warmth in the earthy terracotta tones.
